Daylight Sound offers support at every stage of creating a finished, polished music project.
From adding a single instrument part, to composing and producing a complete work, we're here to help wherever you are in the process.
At the end of each stage, you'll be able to review the work so far and ask for changes before we continue.
Please note: All instrumental work is currently produced using MIDI unless otherwise specified.
We offer the following services, either separately or as a package:
Composition
If you have an idea for a project but need someone to compose it, we can create a musical foundation for you.
This usually begins with a rough sketch or demo showing how the piece works musically.
Songwriting
If you're writing a song and need help with lyrics, melody, or structure, we can collaborate with you.
You can provide a theme, a few lines, or just a general direction.
Arrangement
Arrangement is turning a basic draft into a full, cohesive piece.
For example, a piano demo might be arranged into a complete instrumental or band-style version.
To arrange your project, we'll need a rough recording or demo.
You'll receive a full preview of the arrangement, and if you'd like a different interpretation (different instruments, style, or feel), we can adjust it.
Stems or MIDI will be provided where appropriate.
Session recording
If you already have a project and need specific parts, such as vocals, piano, or other instruments, we can create and record them.
You're welcome to give general guidance or provide exact ideas for notes and phrasing.
Performance
We can record performances of existing works, such as backing tracks for covers or classical pieces for practice and accompaniment.
Clients are responsible for securing any necessary licences for copyrighted material if it will be used publicly.
Mixing
We can take the elements of your project and create a balanced, clear mix with EQ, dynamics, and effects as needed.
Mastering
For finished mixes, we can apply the final polish so your project sounds coherent and ready for release.
